Job Purpose :

- Repairs all electrical faults or damaged electrical part of heavy equipment, buses, trucks, road sweepers, backhoe, loaders and other automotive trucks by performing the following duties
- Inspects and diagnoses the cause of electrical malfunction or failure of the truck or equipment and discusses the nature and extent of damage or malfunction with the workshop electrical foreman to determine the repair needed
- Rewires ignition system, lights, and instrument panel. Replaces and adjusts headlights, and installs and repairs accessories such as heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers
- Carries out Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) as required for new vehicles
- Carries out preventative maintenance and service as per schedule
- Adheres to safety rules and procedures by applying safe working practices
- Plans and records electrical testing and repairs or initiates modification or replacement of any equipment that fails to meet acceptable operating standards
- Re-inspects all completed repair work to ensure quality before handing over the equipment
- Secures the assigned powered, manual and diagnostic tools by adhering to the implemented control procedures
- Installs air conditioning systems
- Overhauls air conditioning systems
- Contributes to the general housekeeping of the workshop and keeps his tools clean
- Carries out any task that may be assigned to him by the workshop electrical foreman inside the company’s workshop or at customer sites

Qualifications :

- Technical high school diploma or equivalent vocational studies as an auto electrician
- Safety-oriented for performing electric repair work
- Skillful in operating diagnostic equipment
- Knowledgeable about the different types of electric circuits of heavy machinery and equipment
- Fluency in English and or Arabic
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an auto electrician at workshops for heavy machinery or equipment

-Prepares quotations for available parts and forwards inquiries for non-available parts to suppliers

- Repairs and overhauls heavy equipment such as Wheel Loaders, Hyd. Excavators, Hyd. Cranes, buses, Road sweepers, backhoe loaders, and other automotive machinery by performing the following duties
- Inspects diagnoses and examines equipment and discusses with the workshop foreman the nature and extent of damage or malfunction to determine the repair needed
- Dismantles, disassembles, assembles repair units for overhaul such as Hyd. - Cylinders, Control valves, engine, transmission, differential, etc.
- Repairs or replaces parts such as Hyd. Cylinder seals, seal kits, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings. Overhauls or replaces Hyd. Cylinders and pumps
- Adjusts brakes, clutch and other aggregates of the Heavy duty trucks and other equipment
- Carries out Pre-Delivery Inspection as required for new vehicle
- Carries out preventative maintenance and service according to schedule
